Monday kicked off Spring Break for all the kiddos so Granny and Pappy took them all to the aquarium. It was Granny, Pappy, Abbye, (Autsin was on an FFA trip), Aunt Al with Bryson, Mason, Jayci and Jessi and myself with Jeff and Matt and Si!
I did learn one thing…If there is a worse place to take pictures than in a dark room willed with reflective glass and water please let me know so I don’t go there! haha Yikes. Picture quality isnt all that and I am blaming the location.
Pappy and his fellow Bama fans just hanging around
Group pics are always hilarious!
They are holding in all their excitement!
Si found some seaweed sea horses
All checking it out
the view of the river
watching the otters
The crew
Ab and Aunt All with the girls
Sturgeon petting
amazing creatures to watch. I love the freshwater rays and Si did too
Worked up an appetite exploring the River Journey so we stopped for a bit before moving on to the Ocean Journey
Brothers. I love these boys
And we are off again for more exploring
Stingray petting!
A Tang. The white part near his tail fin is a blade that can come out like a switchblade and attack enemies!
So graceful and gorgeous
Silas with another of my fav creatures – horseshoe crab. They are descendants of my favorite fossil creatures, trilobites.
The butterflies stayed high but I grabbed one picture
Penguins were so fun!
They were showing off right by the glass
Mason really liked watching them
And these two are so funny!
Look at Jayci’s face!!
I imagine that if Matt were about to be eaten by a huge shark he would also be this enthusiastic! haha
Jessi hamming it up in the shark cage
Granny’s 3 girls
A great end to the aquarium journey.
Aunt Al had to head out for ball practice so we hung out a bit trying to figure out what we wanted to do. Matt, Si and Ab ran around more!
We decided to walk across the river so Si loaded up!
We took the car bridge over. Who knew it was a wooden drawbridge!
We made our way to The Good Dog. A gourmet hot dog place.
Enjoying a local craft brew. ChickBock
Trip to Clumpies for ice cream. Another local place everything is made in town.
Who knew ice cream could be that good!
Dancing on the sidewalk!
Chalk art in the alley/walkways that lead from the street to the park
The trip back we took the pedestrian bridge. One of the longest of it’s kind. And these 2 nuts decided to run across!
A sunset view of the drawbridge we were on earlier
At the end we found a funky maybe art museum of sorts and a glass bridge to get over to it.
Looking back over the pedestrian bridge
Piggy back rides all around
And a little more concrete climbing while we take a potty break before heading home.
And just for fun a snap of the rock climbing place up the street. Love it!
A day with cousins that I know the kids will remember! Thank you Granny and Pappy for taking us all! We loved it!
