DZ Beginning Day Luau 2011

Beginning Day marks the new sorority year!  This year was a backyard luau filled with fun times!

It was such a great night!  Us girls sat around talking, the kids played and played and the guys played some horseshoes.  Dark fell on us and it was time to call it a night.

How this works is the hour is divided up into several skill sets followed by a few mini games to use the skills.

Matthew said he had a great time.  And surprisingly the hour flew by! 

dr appointment time again

This morning was time for dr appointment! 2 weeks sure has flown by since the last one. This one was pretty uneventful. Blood pressure looks good, no swelling, my belly measure right on track, Jackpot is moving around a ton and I got praised on remaining active and actually complimented on my weight gain (21 lbs gained to date at 32 weeks!).

I also had a nice long discussion with Dr. H about repeat c-section vs vbac. As of this moment it is entirely my choice as to which route we go. As long as Jackpot remains head down there will be no reason that I can not try for a vbac if I desire. I am personally a little torn as to which route to go at the moment. Lots of pros and cons to either way. Guess only time will tell but no matter what we decide, Jackpot getting here healthy and safe is the biggest thing!

After dinner that evening we went for a family walk. Even Oz enjoyed his time out.

remodeling sneak peek

The last week or so has found us in a little remodeling phase. We finally got started on retexturing the den (soon to be craft room/office area!) and also repainting the back room (soon to be baby room) and Jeff’s bathroom! It has been a relief to get started but man is my house a disaster and full of crap just sitting everywhere until we are done and can get stuff put away.

On Wednesday when Matt was home he saw the girls painting and wanted to paint also so I got him some of the 2 colors in the baby room and bathroom and a canvas and let him make a picture for Jackpot’s room. He was so proud of himself!

Jeff asked him what the picture was and he says “A perfect masterpiece!” and yes it is! But no picture of the finished product yet, that will be revealed when the room is complete!

And now for a sneak peek into the back room (because the big room isnt ready yet to show off!)

and the orange in the bathroom! Jeff has been wanting orange forever and lucky for him the baby’s bedding will match so he got his wish!

And just because, here are the switch plates I have covered to add some whimsy stuff to the nursery! Covered with scrapbook paper, clear spray painted then added stickers for fun! Since has a clear coat on it, the stickers are removable without tearing the paper up! Beats plain old switch plate covers anyday!

sorority stuff

Sunday was our August sorority meeting. We got some stuff voted on for the upcoming year and it should be a fun time ahead!

We have been taking picture of the program at each meeting and this time we snapped a group pic as well. Sarah will be leaving us to head to DC and this was her last meeting.

Finally Friday!!

When dad got home from work him and Matt got some play time in. What started as a bike ride turned into baseball in the yard. Matt just kept on his helmet.

Then we made our way to Jeff’s old high school to watch some high school football!

The 1st half we sat on the CC side and matt spent his time yelling for the purple team. Uhh wrong side kiddo! Then at half time we switched and went to the purple side. Even though we went to cheer for CC, I think Jeff loved that H20town won 41-0. His purple pride was shining all night!
