This is my new favorite picture of the boys! I took it on River Front Park in Nashville the day we went to tour the LST 325.

An afternoon in Nashville
Granny had a great idea to go to Nashville to check out the LST 325 that was docked at River Front Park. It is a moving museum of naval history. So after church we loaded up and met Granny, Pappy, Bobby and Austin downtown for an afternoon adventure.
We werent sure how it would be downtown because there was a home Titans game that afternoon as well and that usually means lots of people and with people comes traffic! But it wasnt too bad. The game started before we got there and ended before we headed home!
Our first stop was Demo’s for lunch!
Love this picture of Pappy
Me and Silas ready to travel after getting full

Uncle Bobby listening to the game on his phone!
Most the picture I have are like this cause the guys stayed ahead of us!

LST 325. This ship actually landed on the beach at Normandy. What an amazing piece of history to get a chance to touch. And she is still cruising on the rivers today!

See the stadium across the river. When the crowd roared we could hear it! It was so neat!
Who can resist a sun glare photo…
or two or three….

Inside the ship

Looking back out the open bay door

Greece and American flag in the hull
Uncle Bobby touching true American history

Looking into the kitchen

Looking into the wheelhouse

LP Field Home of the TN Titans

Bunk Beds

The writing on these old canvas bed mats was really neat

The huge cargo door – heading back out

Running around River Front Park
A visit to Fort Nashborough right in the heart of downtown and on the river

a history lesson

I love the contrast of the old brick and old log buildings

A little moonshine for ya

I think my boys need this! LOL

Granny and Pappy
And just like that it was time to head home! The weather was perfect, the kids were great, and it was a fantastic afternoon!
