Tuesday after picking Matthew up from school we headed to Nashville to meet Christy, Luke, and Evelyn for some dino watching at the zoo. It was a great coincidence that Matthew studied dinosaurs at school. Usually when I ask him what he did at school he says “nothing”, “i dont remember” or “why dont you ask ms cheryl.” But on the way to the zoo he talked the entire time about dinosaurs! He was so excited!
Let’s Go
Everyone got a map and the littles led the way
A quick stop to see the monkeys before making our way to the dinos
Even Silas was excited to see the monkeys!
The dinosaurs where robotic and very life like.
Matthew telling Evelyn they are just robots
This mom and baby dino pair were on opposite sides of the path and they spit water at you! I didnt time it to well and Silas got hit with the momma dinos “spit” and he wasnt too thrilled about it!
Baby dino spitting water!
As you can see, Evelyn wanted no part of these things!

See that wasnt too bad
uncovering some fossils
When we finished the dinos we went to the play ground and spent almost 2 hours there playing! Silas enjoyed the soft play area and the boys ran wild! Eventually Evelyn wanted to run wild to so her and Christy joined the boys while me and Silas just hung out!
the big tall slide we went to catch Evelyn at the bottom!
Time for a drink and a little snack!
tired tired boys
our attempt at a picture of all 4… Evelyn got mad cause she wanted to hold Silas and she stormed off before I could get the picture! LOL
a last look at the monkeys on our way out! this time the black one had a friend with it
It was a great day at the zoo! the kids were fantastic and even the ride home was uneventful as far as my 2 were concerned! we met dad for supper in town and were joined by aunt connie, uncle bobby, abbye and austin! we got to hear about connie and abbyes night line dancing! what a hoot! i cant wait to go give it a whirl next week! lol
