Matthew and I kicked off Friday with a dr appt. Everything is looking good with little man. Heartbeat was good and appears he is still hanging in the breech position. Takes after his brother and dad it appears!
Then Friday night we checked out the festivities in town.
food, bouncers, and some entertainment before the fireworks
abbye and austin with us on the mule ride
We skipped out before the fireworks and took dad to see Cars 2 at the drive in. It was so so crowded! I have never seen it like this before. We were the last spot sold for the Cars 2 side and we parked in the grass on the far side by the concession stand. Wow!
Then Saturday morning Matt and I looked at a house in town for TX Granny then we hung out watching cartoons til time for the childrens devotional at the Mason’s house!
the kids played and played and played!
After dinner and more play time the children had their devo. They sang songs and had a great lesson on the tongue being like fire. Very fitting right before fireworks!
Then Mr. Tony gave an awesome firework show right in the front yard! It was really cool and the echos down the hollow were something else!
And all the kids got to enjoy doing sparklers to end the evening!
A big Thank You to the Mason’s for opening up their house to everyone. It was a great evening for all.
Sunday morning was church which Jeff and I worked in the nursery and Matthew choose to sit with granny and pappy. Then lunch and home for some rest time before children’s bible hour that evening followed by grilling out at granny and pappy’s with the family to celebrate the holiday! I didnt get many pictures that evening but did snap some of all the kids playing wiffleball before the sun went down.
Granny, Pappy, Aunt Connie and Pa watching the fireworks that Uncle Bobby and Austin were putting on!
This is how Sundays are meant to be! Filled with learning about the Lord and time with family! (and the grilled burgers paired with homemade peach ice cream just make it perfect!)
