1st photo shoot

Thursday after taking big brother to school, little brother and I made our way to his very 1st photo shoot. I am so thankful to know some talented ladies, one of whom I couldnt wait to photograph my new little guy.

Here are the sneak peek pictures she posted on her Facebook page from the session! I am in love with every one of them!

This one we used the bowl that Christy's dad had made for the baby shower! How fun!

my little longhorn!

Fantastic pictures and I totally can not wait to see the rest of the images! Picking a few to order may be the hardest part of the entire process!!

time to get a groove

So Monday morning Dad was back to work and me and the boys were home to fend for ourselves. Dad being home has kept the older one occupied and has been wonderful. I was more worried about him then the little one.

Thankfully Matthew was fantastic all day. We even ventured out and had lunch with granny. So nice to get out!

Tuesday was another test. I had to get both boys ready and get Matthew to school on time then Silas and I made our way to a mom’s only meetup.

A quick photo shoot with my cutie!

At the meetup we learned some card making techniques. These are the 2 cards and 1 tag that I made. How awesome are they and really easy! I cant wait to try my hand at making some more!

Then it was rush to get back to get big brother and home to regroup for a second before we went to play at Christy’s. Evelyn and Luke hadnt seen Silas yet and it was a nice afternoon so why not visit for a bit.

Evelyn was too funny ohhhing and awwwing and saying “Hi baby”! She was so excited to hold him!

And Luke thought he was cute and he kept coming over to look at him while he was playing.

Matt had a great time playing and I was so thankful to be having an adult conversation!

Enjoying a treat!

Wednesday was a day at home. While I got quite a bit accomplished it seemed like I didnt get anything done. But as we enter the 2nd half of the week I must say it has been rather successful!

Mom’s Weekend!!

I am gonna call this weekend a mom’s weekend because mom got to get out of the house and hang with friends!

Saturday it was the day for Wicked!! I was so excited! I have wanted to see this Broadway Musical for years and couldnt believe that the day was here. Christy, Christina and I road to Nashville and met Carrie and her mom at TPAC! We were just in time for the show to start!

I grabbed one picture of the closed curtain because you couldnt take any pictures during the performance!

And wow what a performance it was! Fantastic doesnt even describe it. After the show we all enjoyed dinner at Cheddar’s before heading home. That girls dinner was just what this tired momma needed! A fun filled day and the best part was that Jeff survived being at home with both boys all by himself! hehehe

Sunday was family day at church and also Silas’s first time at church.

After church I ran to Murfreesboro to see Annie at the Arts Center. It was for the Fall Event for the Nashville area sorority. I missed the lunch part but met up with Suzi and made it for the play. I do love the local community plays and this one was great as expected.

Fun Full Friday!

Friday morning baby brother and I went in to wake Matthew. I took the chance and got some pics of the two boys together.

Smiley baby

The reason for getting up and ready early was to take Silas to the dr. He had to go in for a weight check. So off we headed. And what a relief it was when the scale read 7 lbs 5 oz! He was over his birth weight and he gained 1/2 a lb in a week! Fantastic!! Dr said he looks great and he sees no reason to see him before his 2 month check up so unless something changes or we just want to come in and weigh him then we wont go back until Dec!

After the dr appt it was a special lunch for us all. Time for some hibachi! Matthew was so excited as you can see. The waitress we had was the same one Dad and Matt had while mom and Silas were still in the hospital. She remembered them and was so excited to see baby brother! It was too funny.

Our family pic for Silas’s 1st trip to the Japanese place! Love this!

Of course after spending the rest of the afternoon at home hanging out we decided last minute to go to the drive in. We watched Puss in Boots (well Dad and Matt did cause mom and brother slept through most of it!) and then Footloose! Mom woke up for that one and so glad she did. What a great job they did with that remake!

Checking out the condiments while we were getting some popcorn!

A full day of firsts for the little one! What a great day it was!

Jealous Dog

The main source of jealousy in our house lately has been the dog! So when he was on the chaise lounge with Jeff we put Silas over there so he could smell him. He actually stayed sitting and didnt seem to mind the baby being there too as long as he was getting some petting he was fine!

Time for November!!

Wow is time flying by! Tomorrow my little man will be 2 weeks old already and to think not too long ago I was so ready to meet him. Now he is here, a part of our lives, and we cant imagine it any other way. He has been so good. It is crazy that he just molds right in. Of course getting ready in the morning takes a little longer but we are getting it together slowly but surely.

To kick off the month of November I took Matt to school and even went grocery shopping alone while Dad and Silas hung out at home. Wow what a quiet trip it was! hehehehe Then we got Matthew early from school and took him to town for a surprise! He got to see a life sized Lightning McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissile. He thought it was awesome.

We stood in line for an hour I guess but we did come away with some awesome goodies including bags, beach towels, atlases, fun straw cups and stickers and colors and coloring book and all kinds of stuff! I think Matt had a good time.

Then it was time for chili supper at Matthews school for a fundraiser. Yummy food and a great time.

Jeff snapped a couple pictures of the kids signing some songs. It’s kind of like Where’s Waldo?! Can you find Matt??

He played in his classroom with his friends for most of the evening
