A few pictures we took before church on Sunday the 3rd. It was my 32nd birthday and what better reason than being dressed nice for church to take some pictures!

Then after church we went out for lunch to celebrate. Our favorite Japanese place wasn't open for lunch so we tried out a Chinese buffet called Chef Wang's. It was really good! I haven't had Chinese since moving to Tennessee almost 5 yrs ago and I wish I would have tried this place sooner!
Matt chowed down on some shrimp and noodles and loved the soy sauce

I think the ice cream may have been his fav part though

Monday was time to get back to the grind and included in that was getting ready for Tuesday which was back to school day. Here is Matthew's nap mat with his Texas Longhorns cover ready to go to school!

It was quite funny when I picked up Matt from school on Tuesday. His teacher always sends a little note home with some adjectives describing their mood and such for the day. Matt's note said "talkative"!! Who would have ever thought! She said he jabbered all day! Yeah for being more talkative!
Another big thing this week is that Oz can get on the couch all by himself! And he has picked his favorite side already.

We also got a new TV on Wednesday in honor of the big game the following day! Well not so much for that reason but since we were ready for a new one what better reason! Here is a quick shot of our new 50" Plasma TV right after we got it hooked up. We had to take the side and top shelf off the entertainment center for it to fit but all is well! Oh and we had to scoot the couch back a little along the wall of the living room to be able to see the thing but it sure looks good!

Thursday was a snow day so no school or work for me and Matt. We spent the day inside staying warm.
He put on his boots and ran outside after dad got home but realized real quick he needed his coat cause it was cold!

So he grabbed his coat and gloves and went to make snowballs!

and more snowballs

but he hates it when his gloves get wet cause his hands get froze!

The best part of Thursday was the big game that night! Texas VS Alabama for the national championship. Granny and Pappy came over as did Bobby, Connie, Austin and Abbye to watch the game. Pappy came wearing his Bama hat.

My favorite picture of Matthew and Pappy!

Matt showing off his new championship game shirt that we got while in Texas!

I think Abbye took this picture of Granny, Pappy and Matt laying on the floor.

Of course the outcome of the game was not too my liking since Bama won but all is still well with the Universe!
Friday was another lazy day at our house. Matt and Oz spent most the day on the couch watching cartoons!

Matt hanging out in mom's new Longhorns chair!

Before getting ready to go to the hockey game Saturday night we snapped a quick picture of me and Matt in our new aprons that Mom, Gran and Amy made. Jeff has one but they are sending it to us cause it wasn't ready when we were there. Matt wasn't too thrilled to take his picture and by the time this one was snapped I was just ready to be done! Maybe some better pics of the aprons are in our future!

Matt and Oz ventured out into the snow once again.

So as you can see by the overload of pictures from the 1st 10 days of the year, it is off to a great start!
