historic route 66
the Albuquerque airport had a nice park and wait area where you could watch the runways! the view from there was so pretty
so we picked jeff up and headed out. A far off view of Sandia Peak and resort/casino!
Most all the land from Alb to Santa Fe and even beyond is seperated into different indian reservations. and on each reservation there must be at least one casino!
the look of santa fe. all buildings in the one part of town were like this! even the McD’s and walmart!
after a quick bite it was on the road to Pagosa Springs CO. We ran into some snow just before Chama NM. It was dark and kinda eerie since the road was white for a good stretch. When ya dont know the roads and cant see the lines it is a bit nerve wracking. But once we got past that little stretch it cleared up. Still light flurries but clear roads all the way to the hotel! Made it in at 9:40pm central time. A long day on the road for sure!
