George and Reba CONCERT!!

After a much needed nap following the 10K, it was time to head to Nashville to see George and Reba in concert!  Yipeeeeee!!  The concert was originally scheduled back in April but then changed and it has seemed like the wait has been forever!  But it was so well worth it!

Of course we stood in line for a picture with a cardboard George!

So we get to our seats and as we settle in to get ready for the show, it happened!  What might you ask…. Well let me set the scene…  We were sitting from left to right, Connie, Me, Allison, and Janet with Connie being towards center of row and Janet on the aisle.  Ok so Connie is leaning forward in her seat, I am sitting back in mine, and Allison turns to face me and right at this moment, the guy who was to sit behind us was coming down the steps above the row behind us and drops his beer.  A big beer, at least 32 oz in an open plastic cup!

Of course the lady directly behind us was drenched, The cup landed between Connie and her seat.  So here Connie and I have wet shirts, Allison has it in her eye and ear, my hair is wet, Allison sat her purse on the floor and when she picked it up it was dripping… All with beer!  This was even before the lights were down and the show started.  Poor guy was so embarrassed!  And to find out, the older lady behind us who got soaked, was the guys mom!  hahaha too funny!  So we smelt quite wonderful for the rest of the night!  My sweater was finally dry before heading home but my bra strap was still wet when I got home to shower!  And my hair took a couple washings to get the smell out!  Fun times!  Definitely something we wont forget anytime soon!

Lee Ann Womack opened up the show

Then it was REBA!

And even Ronnie Dunn came to join her for Cowgirls Dont Cry!

The funniest thing ever was Barbara Jean joining her on stage

She changed into a red dress and rode out in the old school cab from the fancy video!

Allison, Me and Connie before George!

And last but not least… the man… George!

I love this progression of pictures because his shows his swagger.  He just has this certain sexy walk about him and it even shows itself in pictures!  He still has it after all these years!

He did come back for an encore and as with every show he walked off the stage to This is where the cowboy rides away!  Always a fitting end for a true cowboy!
