Tuesday Sept 28th was a historic day for country music and Nashville TN. The Opry House located near Gaylord Opry Hotel and Opry Mills Mall which were all flooded in the May floods, was re-opened! The hotel is hoping to open in Nov and there is no info yet on when or if the mall will ever reopen. But as of Sept 28th, the Grand Ole Opry was able to return home! It was a fantastic show in front of a sell out crowd. It was also shown live on GAC!

What a fantastic time! Matthew fell asleep a few minutes into the show and stayed out the entire time!
I did learn a valuable lesson after the show… a man in a kilt doesnt wear underwear! Yes you read that right. It seems the man a couple rows behind us who was wearing a snazzy green and black kilt, was going commando. You ask how I know this.. well you see, as we were waiting for people to clear out, no sense in getting in a hurry, Jeff remained seated holding Matthew while Pappy Granny and I stood up. Pappy made the mistake of turning around as did I. It seems we both had a similar view! As I glanced up to the back row, in a matter of a split second, I couldnt believe my eyes. There sat the man in the kilt, with his legs spread apart just hanging out and by hanging out I mean literally hanging out!
It was all I could do to keep it together til we were far enough away to spill the beans. It was too funny! Of course Pappy saw the same thing so he knew what was so funny. Granny and Jeff missed the show! hahahah oh the things you see at the opry. As the announcer would say “there is another great opry moment folks!”
