Tuesday morning we headed to meet Matthew’s teacher for his 4 yr old class! We already knew who it was and she just so happens to be a friend of ours and a fellow moms group member so how cool is that! She runs a tight ship in her classroom so I am anxious to see what the year has in store!

The other big thing for the day was speech visit! Matt hasnt had speech since last May and he has really changed so I was looking forward to his speech teacher hearing the difference! I knew that Ms Amy would be on maternity leave sometime in Sept when the new baby arrived but come to find out, she has been put on bedrest so isnt coming back before the babys arrival. So we really didnt know who would take over for her but we had heard that it could possibly be Ms Susan who was the student teacher last year. We really enjoyed her so I was happy to get her phone call last week asking us about starting speech again! What a great opportunity for her!
My initial idea was to just request him be tested again and see where he stands and perhaps be done with speech but we are going to hold off a bit and let him get comfy in the speech room and such so we dont walk into an evaluation and him just not say anything.
And the 1st visit was a hit! Ms Susan even brought trains and that was a hit! She had no idea how much of a train lover Matt is. She instantly became his best friend!
