Thanksgiving night we were visited by our new elf friend, Paul. He has come to our house to watch over Matthew and report back to Santa each night with the happenings around here. He is filled with magic and can only talk to moms and dads and Santa but he will listen to little boys and girls and report their Christmas list to Santa. He flies to the north pole each night only to return before we awake. The fun part is waking to find him each morning. There is no telling what this little guy will get into while he is here. Friday morning we awoke to him helping himself to some zucchini bread and the Saturday morning he was lounging on the chaise lounge with some chocolate milk!
He spent the remainder of Saturday hanging in the living room with us.

Since Paul is magic and cant be touched for fear of him losing his magic, Matthew got to pick out his very own plush version of Paul so that he has an elf to play with and cuddle. Here he is with his play elf that he named Austin.
I love the beginnings of family traditions! I think this is going to be a fun one!
