our visit to cheekwood botanical gardens

Tuesday Nov 2nd was voting day! Schools were closed due to being used as polling places so Matt was home for the day. I had a dr appointment that morning so jeff took the day off to go with us for the day. Well the boys ended up sleeping in while I went to the dr then we all headed to nashville to check out the Chihuly exhibit at cheekwood. it was also free day so we expected it to be crowded but wow was it crowded!

here is a message on their facebook page about the day:

“Yesterday we opened our gates for free. It was our way of saying thanks & we hoped to give even more people a chance to experience this amazing exhibition before it closes.
We thought you might visit. And 8,564 of you did! It is an all time, 50 year attendance record and we are thrilled that so many came & enjoyed the day.
Thank you for showing us that taking big risks are worth it. We are truly grateful”
