Tuesday was school day for Matt and Christy and I met up to check out the health and fitness expo at the Rec Center.
Wednesday started out with an interesting trip to the local clinic to get my thyroid medication altered. Thankfully I questioned what the dr's were saying because I could have left with the wrong prescription and right now that would not be a good thing at all. Matt was supposed to have his 1st private swim lesson but we got a call around lunch from the instructor. She had been sick and she wasnt going to be able to make it. The head aquatic lady was to call me later that day or Thursday to set up times with a new instructor. Matt was once again dissappointed but he said it was ok.
Thursday after school we went to hang out at the Discovery Center!

we have never seen this wind tunnel before and it was really fun!

the highlight for Matt was the lady let him use the key to turn on the electric trains! He thought he was something else!

After playing we headed to Gabriel's house for his birthday party! I only got this one picture of Matt and Luke playing on the stairs.

The boys were wild and crazy but had such a fun time playing!
Friday morning was Matt's speech evaluation. Oh how interesting that was. You see the text is 2 parts, each part you keep going until the child gets 5 wrong in a row. Well that didnt happen on either part. She said she wasnt quite sure what to do cause that has never happened. The skill set for the book we were using went to 6 1/2 - 7 yr old skills. She said she didnt bring the next skill set and i told her it really doesnt matter cause if he can get this far than surely he will pass the test and not need the language help anymore!
One funny part was when she asked him to name 5 animals. His reply was "Dromesaurus, Edmontesaurus, Stigmoloch" at this point she is looking at me like what in the world. Then he says "Tyrannasaurus Rex" and I think she realizes he was naming dinosaurs! She then says "How about we name 5 animals we see at the zoo" His reply was "elephant, penguin, giraffe" Hehehehe
After that portion it was time for the speech part. He zoomed through naming stuff and such. The last thing was a page with 5 stars. She asked him how many and he just said 5 after glancing at the picture. She then asks him to count them and he says "uno, dos, tres, quattro, cinco". I was trying so hard to not laugh and pee my pants! I say "Matt, how bout you count in english." He says "oh yeah duh!" LOL it was priceless!
Of course they have to score the test and such but unofficially she doesnt see how he would qualify for services anymore! So now we wait til the meeting to go over the results and to be done with speech! What a road it has been!
After the eval we went to Christy's house. Suzi came over with RJ and Xander and while the kids played and reaked havoc on the place, Christy, Suzi and I worked on getting the sorority scrapbook finished up! We got tons accomplished and had a great time!
Saturday was a day full of sunshine! We had the blinds open enjoying the light. I did some projects around the house then we decided to go to the park.
We made 2 laps around the park with Matt on his bike and me walking.

then played on the playground for a bit!

after coming home and watching cartoons for a bit we went outside for a nature hike. We found leaves and pine cones and other neat stuff.

Then he wanted to ride his bike again so thats what we did! Anything to be outside enjoying the sun! We even went and visited Granny and Pappy for a little bit where he had fun riding down the driveway as fast as he could nearly giving us a mini heart attack with each trip and also intentionally walking through the mud with his good shoes on!
So for a busy week, it has been pretty darn good!
