Another peek at baby #2

Monday morning we headed to Nashville for an in depth ultrasound. This particular one is a first trimester screening called a nuchal scan to look for fluid in the babies neck (along with bloodwork to check things) that could indicate possible chromosome abnormalities. There are no indications that anything could be wrong but who can pass up another peek at the baby so I took them up on the offer for the test!!

So we get there and were taken back really quick. The lady said that it could take a while and we could possibly have to schedule another try because this test is all dependent on the baby being in the right position to get all the measurements they need.

So we get started! There was the baby looking much more like a baby this time! A healthy heartbeat of 163! We saw both arms and hands and both legs and feet immediately! What a great sight!

We watched the baby kick and squirm a little but never seemed to be just right in position. We got a few readings (and from them everything looks fine but of course no official report since didnt get all readings). I went to the bathroom, walked around, turn side to side, the lady poked and jiggled by belly and still this little guy or girl was stubborn and refused to move! We had the perfect profile that we needed but just wasnt scooted up enough to see underneath!

So after trying for over an hour we decided to call it quits! We go back later this week for another peek!
