Our official group picture!
The story behind our group picture goes like this… We had all got to the cabin and I went out to snap a few shots. Figured a group picture on the porch would be a cool idea. So I was playing with either setting the camera on the hood of Christy’s car or on a cardboard box, got all the settings figured out and Christy hollered at everyone to come out side.
As everyone came out I snapped a couple shots and got this one just a split second after Carrie announced that she had pulled the door shut. You see, the cabin door locks automatically when pulled shut. And at this moment it was realized that the only 2 keys were still indoors on the coffee table! LOL
So we are outside freezing, hadnt even got the picture yet, I called the park office and of course it is 4:45pm and they close at 4:30pm. Just our luck. Carrie spots the pay phone and list of emergency numbers a couple cabins away so we head down there. As we are getting the numbers to call, the girls holler that they had got in. Appears the cabin had easy window access. Oh how safe and secure that made us all feel! LOL
So they fired up the fireplace to warm up before heading back to the porch for round 2! And that is when the official group picture was finally taken!

Our finished project – we cut out fabric appliques of our names or initials to personalize our very own Beta Sigma Phi bags! They all turned out awesome and so unique!
By the time we were done it was time for bed!
The next morning we were all up for a yummy breakfast the loading it all up. We did chat a little more before heading out!
It was such a fun time! Getting away and just relaxing was awesome and much needed! A great way to wind down from the holidays!
Before leaving the park Christy and I wanted to drive the race course for the next half marathon we are doing at the park in a few weeks. So we drove around, missed one of the roads we needed, went out of the way and finally back to the park. We set out for a little run before heading home. We ran a couple hills then went off road to hike around and mix it up a bit!
I think it took me all evening to finally thaw out from that cold adventure! Retreat 2011 was a super success!
