Are these 4 peas in a pod or what??
Monday morning we gave Silas his 1st bath. His cord fell off Sunday night so we figured it was bath time. Big brother even helped out
Considering that he cries during diaper changes we expected the worse but he was actually quite calm and enjoyed the warm water. We were shocked thats for sure
Then he got all bundled up and seemed so content that we just kept him like that for a bit while we discussed the days plan. It wasnt too long afterwards that I stood there holding him all bundled up that we hear the noise… the worst wet farting noise ever! Sure enough he was warm and relaxed and no doubt that his bowels work! LOL
We ventured out that afternoon back to the hospital for a blood draw. The hospital dr had suggested a redraw even though his 40 hour biliruben numbers were 9.4 which was in the low-intermediate category for jaundice. The numbers peak in days 3-5 so Monday would be day 5. We were pretty sure they would come back fine as he had been eating and wetting just fine all weekend and his coloring was looking good.
It was a smooth trip with both kiddos to the hospital. Of course Silas hated having his heel pricked but more so than that he hated having his foot held. It really ticked him off thats for sure.
We got a call later that afternoon that his numbers came back at a 14 and all was good and no need to get them rechecked.
That evening Jessica and he little boy Clay came over and brought some yummy potato soup. Clay is going to have a baby sister tomorrow! He even sat down to hold Silas. It was adorable. Good luck to them on the arrival of baby Anagail!
